...was FULL. We ate a continental breakfast at the hostel, packed lunches, walked to the bus stop, and rode to Golden Gate Park and the Academy of Sciences. We picnicked at the park.In the afternoon we took the bus and train to the Oakland baseball stadium, where we watched the A's defeat the Rangers. We're finally back from the game and turned in for the night about 1:00 AM!

The big day finally arrived - real early! We were all at the airport at 5:30 AM, ready to go, and found out the plane was delayed. We weren't going to leave until 10:30! It seemed that a fire alarm went off at the hotel the plane crew was staying at. It had nothing to do with the plane, but federal regulations say the crew has to have 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep before the flight. The fire alarm interrupted their sleep, so they couldn't fly! The airline had to fly in a new crew from Tulsa.
